37th Anfal anniversary

On the 37th anniversary of the Anfal genocide, on April 13 and 14, 2025, several activities will take place in cities and towns such as Erbil. These will include a press conference for media channels, a seminar by novelist Rewas Bani Khelani, and a rally in Hasar village to present the demands of the victims. There will also be a rally in Kirkuk and a visit to a newly discovered mass grave by members and activists of our network. Additionally, there will be a press conference in Sulaimani to present the demands of the Anfal victims, a photo exhibition of Anfal victims in Chamchamal, and participation in the ceremony for genocide victims in Kelar, Garmian, and Chamchamal.
Two statements will be issued regarding the demands of the Anfal victims, calling for Iraq to become a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) as soon as possible to prevent another genocide like Anfal from occurring.
The campaign to thank the ICC and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will also continue across Kurdistan, led by networks and organizations dedicated to preventing genocide and the use of weapons of mass destruction.
